Abstract

In this first video of the series, Dr Heini Väisänen introduces the binary logistic regression, explains what variables can be used, talks about link functions and discusses how this model differs from linear regression. She employs a simple example with one explanatory variable to illustrate how the method works and how the results can be interpreted using either log of scale, predicted probabilities or odds.
