Big data:bridging the qualitative/quantitative divide

This lecture explores the different meanings and uses of the term "big data". It considers the extent to which the digital revolution and the development of techniques to analyse large bodies of unstructured data are disrupting previous understandings of the differences between qualitative and quantitative approaches to research in the social sciences.
