Abstract

Some people positively like the idea that they resemble someone in their family. Others enjoy spotting resemblances in their own, or other, families. But sometimes people deny family resemblances, or are worried about them in case looking like someone means they might inherit an illness or turn out like someone they dislike. This exhibition looks at how and why resemblances are important in people's everyday lives. It includes winners of the Who are you like? photo competition and images by photographer Charlie Meecham, tracing resemblances through generations of one family.
